I was born in My Tho - Cao Lanh, Vietnam in 1965. I am the oldest daughter of eight siblings. Growing up in Vietnam, I had a lot resting on my shoulders. I was either going to school or helping my father, a man crippled by polio, run his rice processing mill business to sustain our large family. Working side by side with my father at a young age, he taught me that honesty and working hard are the keys to success. After the fall of Saigon to Communist control, my father arranged for me and my younger brother to escape Vietnam by boat in 1982 in hopes for a better future. We landed in a refugee camp in Thailand and through a series of events; we were blessed to be sponsored by the Catholic Charities Agency to come to Louisville, Kentucky in 1984.
In my new life in America, I struggled immensely just hoping to achieve the American dream like everyone else. I knew little English and I worked several low wage jobs to get by in life. But I also made time to make sure to help others, especially other Vietnamese refugees. I often volunteered as a translator for Vietnamese refugees.
During my time as a translator, I was often asked to translate for refugees who were looking to buy their first home in America. From helping others, I was exposed to the world of real estate and quickly learned the process of buying a new home. These early experiences helped me realize that a career in real estate could help me fulfill my passion of helping others and ultimately led me to officially becoming a real estate agent in 2003.
I am very blessed to live in a country where hard work and honesty can allow me to achieve my dreams. After 18 years in the real estate industry, I had an opportunity to open my own brokerage. With my new brokerage, I vowed to serve my community with greater resources. That’s why the motto for my business is to be ""Your link in Real Estate."" We strive to provide the highest level of service and to be the connection clients need for achieving their real estate goals. Being a realtor has linked me to so many great experiences in life. Now as a principle broker, I hope to be your link to your next successful real estate endeavors.
